ISARI AdventureDiscover the Beauty of Georgia: A Journey with a Polish-Georgian Horse Riding TeamMeet a dedicated Polish-Georgian team with years of experience in tourism and horse riding across Europe and Georgia. Their mission is to craft unique trips that blend a passion for horseback riding with a deep appreciation for local culture and equestrian traditions. While their primary focus is on Georgia and the breathtaking Greater Caucasus mountains, they also extend their expertise to Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Serbia. The team’s horse herd is based in Eastern Georgia. During the winter months, the horses reside near Vashlovani National Park, where they offer invigorating rides through stunning canyons and steppes from April to May. In March, part of the herd is moved to Northern Kakheti, where the team organizes one- and two-day horseback trips through picturesque vineyards, lush forests, and rolling hills. As the main riding season kicks off in June, the horses are transported to the majestic mountains of Tusheti. Here, a small group of up to five riders embarks on a thrilling tour, guiding 30 to 40 horses through the rugged terrain. The season features horseback riding adventures for intermediate and advanced riders, complete with exhilarating gallops through mountain meadows and visits to local inhabitants. Tusheti, long isolated from the rest of Georgia, boasts a rich cultural heritage, with ancient pre-Christian beliefs and exquisite culinary traditions still thriving. The region’s untouched nature, towering mountains, historic defensive towers, welcoming locals, and delicious cuisine make it a hidden gem for travelers. The horses themselves are primarily of the Caucasian breed, complemented by the robust local Tushetian breed. Though not tall, these strong horses navigate the challenging mountain paths with ease. To ensure safety, the team enforces a weight limit of 85 kg for guests. Luggage is conveniently transported by vehicle between villages, allowing riders to enjoy their adventures without the burden of heavy packs. As autumn arrives in late September, the team organizes a scenic horse drive from the mountains back to North Kakheti, where the horses enjoy a well-deserved rest. For the winter, they are taken to the south of the region, where they roam freely in meadows for three months. This natural approach ensures the horses’ well-being, and the team always knows their whereabouts, allowing for a stress-free return. In addition to their adventures in Tusheti, the team also organizes horse rallies in Svaneti. This high-mountain region offers easier routes and expansive valleys, with breathtaking views of peaks exceeding 4,500 meters. It’s an ideal escape for intermediate riders seeking stunning landscapes and a chance to relax in nature. Join this passionate team for an unforgettable journey that combines the thrill of horseback riding with the rich cultural experiences of Georgia.
